Residential School in Coimbatore

In a world obsessed with optimisation, even childhood is being redesigned. The thought-provoking talk explores how constant schedules, apps, performance trackers, and digital tools are quietly transforming the way children grow up. Through contrasting stories of two teenagers from different eras, the talk questions whether we are preparing children to succeed or pressuring them to constantly perform. While technology promises efficiency and progress, it may also be shrinking the space for boredom, imagination, failure, and curiosity—the very experiences that once shaped creativity and resilience. This talk invites us to rethink how we raise the next generation and asks a powerful question: Are we designing a childhood children can enjoy, or one they must simply survive?
